I saw the mermaid. It was cute. So, this place is swanky, and cool. I love jazz and was able to see an awesome jazz group perform here a few times. I went to college in Berkeley and had the luxury of living in the city, and i truly do miss it. I wish there was a place like this near me now. If one of your favorite bands comes through town and plays at Bimbo's, you should definitely go. Just bring cash.

This place is nice. It was too bad that I went with awkard people to dine here. They were both friends but didn't like each other. But that's another story. It has been a few months since I've been here but I will give its very well deserved review from my last experience. Top Floor is a great place to have a drink and a bite to eat late at night in Atlanta. We got here around 2 am and the bar was empty because people were in other rooms so we got served pretty quickly. The staff were pros but the DJ's music was way too loud for the confined space. Sound check anyone? We ordered our beers and then to our meals. One of my friends didn't eat and the other ordered a hanger steak. I ordered the duck confit. The food came out quickly for being so late and packed we were impress. We also started with an order of white pea hummus which was amazing btw. Anyway, the food came quickly and I was quick to steal a bite of the hanger steak. OMG, I've never had better other than a kobe steak. The hanger steak rivals a well cooked filet mignon and it fetched a very decent price. I should have ordered it. On to my duck confit. Delicious! I don't get much duck out of our traditional Vietnamese cuisines so seeing it cooked confit was exciting. Despite the loud and bad music... everything else was great and I definetly will stop by next week when I am in town.

This place deserves more like a 3.5. It is very good but not sure it's worthy of 4 stars if you compare to other top/sleek steak places. From what I hear, going on a Monday night is VERY different from going on a weekend night. I went Monday night so it's more subdued, less crowded. If you go on a weekend, it supposedly is loud, long line, and just happening with people everywhere which makes it cramped/crowded. Anyway, when you walk in, it's very sleek and black. You can tell you are in a Meatpacking place (the club TenJune is downstairs). The service was exceptional. I loved my waiter. He gave great recs, was attentive and very fun. We had the shrimp appetizer and the french toast foie gras. Both were excellent. We then had the cowboy steak (ribeye cut) with 2 diff sauces (blue cheese butter and some house sauce). The steak didn't need the sauces, it was very good. We also had the parmesan truffle fries (just ok), asparagus (fine), Corn pudding (AWESOME). For dessert, we had the smore dessert which was solid. Would I go back? Probably not. It was a great dinner, but not sure it's worthy for a 2nd time given all the other steak places in the city. On to try Porter House...
