This is a beautiful little venue, that has so much character! If you are like me, you love just about anything old. This place has been around since the 30's and the art deco style is gorgeous. Besides there being a great ambience, this is the place to go for a concert. I came here last year to see The Raconteurs. The stage is tiny, there is no barricade with bouncers blocking your view. We were literally leaning up against the stage, where you could touch the amps. During slower songs, you could hear a pin drop in here. I still remember Jack hovering near the edge of the stage, as everyone stood in complete silence and awe during Carolina Drama. This is definitely an intimate place to catch a gig.

I love the space here. The upstairs lounges are great--cozy, and can be made semi-private by drawing a curtain separating the seating areas. The drinks could've been a touch stronger, but the prices were decent for a club. The dance floor can undoubtedly get hot and humid. As long as you can handle the BO, you should be fine. Mos Def rocked the house here last night. I'm sure I'll be back.
