by Dorris Trigo on Check your expectations before you visit. This is not a traditional taqueria by any stretch of the imagination. This is a dive bar with tacos. This is drunk food. Delicious Delicious drunk food. The first time I came here I was disappointed with the burrito. It just didn't have the panache that some of the ones in, oh lets say, the mission have to offer. Also, the beer was a little boring except for the Mexican choices which were good. Bohemia etc... The second time I was drunk (I should delete this review if I ever run for office). The taco I had hit the spot. It was messy and filled with salty, greasy, and delicious food. I do suggest asking them to go easy on the guacamole. They gave me a ton of the stuff.

Cool and innovative space, very attractive people (not sure why they let me in), super crowded dance floor, music obligatorily deafening, and I believe they have a no overweight chicks policy, even if you have a table. No joke. Saw the bouncer yank a girl out of a group that was going in, presumably because clocking a buck fifty is made more conspicuous when surrounded by waifish blondes in FMPs.
