Haven't been since the recent renovations for the new "Mansion Elan" but this was the only club where my feet would hurt after being there only an hour on the dance floor. Idk why but either way, the crowd never really did it for me, the music was lack luster and they used to falsely advertise people that would never show. One time I came when they 'swore' Lil wayne was supposed to be there, millions of people were there, wayne wasnt, turns out he was at Esso or Club Miami or something. Dreamz sucked, when I go to Elan, I may redo this review.

Here's my stream of consciousness as I decided on the Frying Pan for dinner and drinks when my good friend was in town: Hmmm...where should we go tonight ~ Let's check rateclubs ~ Bars ~ No, not Milk & Honey ~ Frying Pan ~ Hmm, what's this all about? ~ Boats! I love boats! ~ Decent reviews... ~ Ok, why not ~ I like this shirt ~ There's a cab ~ Pier 66, please ~ Holy shit, the bar is literally on the boat ~ Wow, this is pretty ~ Wait, I have to climb that ladder? ~ AWESOME ~ Open table! ~ Buckets of beer! ~ Shit, now I have to climb that ladder with the beers ~ Success! ~ Sunset...gorgeous ~ Totally rateclubsing about this later ~ Ooo, she's cute ~ Where was I? ~ Ah, beer... ~ I'm hungry ~ Chicken wrap? Why not ~ Wow, that was fast ~ om nom nom ~ Mmmmm... And it pretty much continued like that. The drinks and food weren't overly expensive and came quickly even though there was a lot of people waiting in line. I had the chicken wrap, and it was very tasty; I was expecting bar-quality food. The view was absolutely gorgeous - I got there right before sunset, and so I had the chance to watch the sun set over the Jersey shore and see the sky go from blue to pink to black. The crowd was casual but well-dressed, and most were in their late 20s to early 30s. Overall: If you're feeling adventurous, check out the Frying Pan, and climb up all the way to the top of the ship (you will literally have to climb a vertical ladder; I'm surprised people haven't fallen off of these) for a beautiful view of the Hudson and a night of good food and drinks. Probably better to take a group of friends with you, but I would definitely bring a date here as well. Plan on getting there early, because it will be tough to find a table. I liked this place so much I gave it my first 5 star review.

So this is one of my favorite spots to go in austin night life! I love the crab tostadas! They're not on the menu but they know me there and the waitress suggested them. Am I an alcoholic if barstaff know me?...Anyway! I also love their mojitos, I go other places and get mojitos, but they are just not the same!
