3.5 Stars I rarely drink--for the simple fact that I merely just can't handle my alcohol very well. But for some reason, after Happy Hour at Fly Bar this past Monday, I was feeling quite alright after two drinks. One of my gal pal co-workers was feeling extremely bummed and sad this particular day and needed some good girl friend consoling, so we headed here to Sugar Cafe for more drinks and eats. The vibe of this spot is definitely trendy with a nice long fireplace and couch seating. There are wall lights that changed color from red to hot pink as well. As for drinks and food, you order at the bar first, and have a seat wherever. I opted for the Pop Rocks which is Strawberry Vodka with Coconut Rum, Peach Schnapps and Cranberry and Pineapple Juice. To me this drink definitely seemed more like a Strawberry Lemonade. It wasn't bad, but definitely would've liked to feel the other flavors as well. My gal pal and I ordered a the Mac n Cheese with Bacon and Ham topped with Toasted Garlic, and 3 Sliders. Mac n Cheese was nice and light--not too cheesy, but I couldn't make out much of the bacon or ham. Sliders were pulled pork, generic. Prices were a bit steep, as our bill came to 40 bucks before tip. So each thing we ordered was about $10.00. Food was just alright. Drinks were creative. I might return for more drinks and for their dessert menu which I didn't get a chance to try. Definitely a cute spot for drinks with a good gal pal.

Out of the 5 times I've been here, only once was somewhat decent. It's just too large of a place for my taste, yet the dancefloor is so small for a place this big. It's hard to get a drink when overcrowded (which it usually is). But here's the thing - most of the people who seem to like the park are girls, while guys don't seem to like the place. Go figure.
