Its one of the few clubs in the A that all walks of life mix and mingle in here. It kind or reminds me of the club Eminem was rapping at in 8 mile. Very low key. its underground, literally so ladies be careful if you decide to wear heels in here, which i wouldn't know why you would in the first place. but they have local acts and other acts, DJ contests. ect. the bartenders are kinda uppity though but the drinks seem to never end, its cool. people smoke and some are sweaty from dancing so hard. IT IS VERY DARK IN THERE. I MEAN VERY. but again all kinds of people come here so that blacklanta Hollywood crap doesn't fly round these parts.

There should really be 2 reviews of Ruby Skye: 1 for people that go there to see amazing DJ's and rave, and another for those who go there for a night of clubbing and drinking. I'll start with the latter. Is this a place I would want to go with the girls on a Saturday night to dance, drink, and flirt with boys? Dear God No. The line can get ridiculous, the drinks are weak and served in plastic cups (cups that are essentially 1 step up from a red dixie cup), and the people...well...I'll describe them like this: I've seen quite a few chicks wearing spandex cut-off shirts and guys wearing sunglasses inside. Dude, really? Is it just too bright in here or are you trying to wear a sign that reads "I'm a giant douche!" If Ruby Skye was just another club with resident DJ's and a large dance floor, I would never set foot inside ever again. But, Ruby Skye is not just another average club. It pulls names like Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, David Guetta, and Benny Benassi, (the latter 2 of whom I've seen here) just to name a few. So, if you are a fan of that type of music, and are into raving and the recreational activities associated with it, this is an amazing venue. Being a big fan of giant "concerts" (i.e. the Lovefest after party in Civic Center Auditorium) I was skeptical if I could have a similar experience at a club. But, Ruby Skye is large enough to hold a massive amount of people yet you can still find enough space to dance, the sound system is amazing, and you get a fairly up close and personal experience with world class DJs. Plus, on big nights, they stay open until 4 am. The only downside to seeing these types of shows here is that there are no light shows allowed, and they will kick you out if they see you doing it. You can dance with lights, but basically you can't sit people down and trip them the !@#$ out. But, on the plus side they do have a disco ball, which I must say is pretty entertaining. Side note - why don't all clubs have disco balls? They are amazing. When a big name comes to town, I would definitely go back and see them here. Otherwise, I can think of about a million other ways I'd rather spend a Friday night. '

This is like your Wal Mart of night life .. there is something for everyone, but all are mediocre. There is a huge patio section that is covered up in the winter time and outdoors in the summer. It's great for just sitting, getting some drinks, hanging out. Upstairs there is a "club", there is a proper white tablecloth restaurant downstairs and a bar in the back as well. So there you have it: patio, club, bar, restaurant. Take your pick. Oh and I seem to remember an aquarium at the back of the dance floor in the club .. something for the kids too!!!
