by Karen C. on I've decided...this is my favorite restaurant in Austin. Amazing food, great service, badass atmosphere, cool live music... All around beautiful experience. And... it's on the east side. Can't wait to go back!
by Theola Kukowski on I was so excited to see The Red House Lounge go up. The first time I went there the food was really good. The last few times I went though, it was pretty bad. The second time I went to eat at Red House,I found a twig in my salad after biting into it. That happens sometimes with bagged greens and they were apologetic but they took my salad and never replaced it...uh...I was hungry. This last time I went there, the service was really bad. The salad came with no dressing, the pizza was wrong and everything tasted sub par. Whaa! I tried, I tried, I really did but when ya got better pizza in town why? I could see going to sit outside on a cool day for a cocktail but that's about it. I think it was the bomb when they first opened but something has clearly happened since then. I hope they get their mojo back.
