Oh AG...we know you'll always get your coins but still man you guys know ya'll can do better with your customer service. I used to frequent The Velvet in its hey-day when they REALLY had a dress code and there was some exclusiveness about the place. Streamline shape of the club, they do have celebrities every other sunday. Friday - Grown and sexy nights. Crowd is usually frat/sorors, older guys, couples, V103 hosts, and its never too croweded but you have a good time. They play a wide assortment of hits from old school, current, DMV, uptop, etc. Sunday - hood night as I call it bc 107.9 hosts, thats when the big name celebrities are really there hosting, but do expect to be treated like -ish and pay 40-60 for vip or wait in a 1-2 hour line because they will have your butt waiting outside in the general admission line, Alex doesn't care about the patrons, your a dollar sign to him, and thats that. Parking will be crazy but if you're young and dont mind being in a crowded small space. this is the night for you to go, bc by 1 am, its packed to capacity, dont try to go to the bathroom cause your gonna have to fight through the crowd to get there, and there are plenty atlanta video wanna be chicks and fake ballers galore. Enjoy. lol

The scene @ Frying Pan can best be described in the following statement... There is little doubt that the Gordon's Fisherman would NEVER allow socialite New Yorkers carrying Hermes or Prada handbags to step food on his vessel.  Nevertheless, in the harbors of New York, exceptions can be made. The scene at Frying Pan is basically as described.  An age light boat is converted into the new hangout for New York Socialites.  Perhaps the concept is fundamentally sound...  An outdoor bar area where the "want to be scene" crew is decked out in their "look at me" garb while sipping beers and "unintentionally" tanning.  The Frying Pan is none other than a pick up scene.  It's as simple as that.  The area is packed and crowded, to the point where walking around a person is no longer an option and crowd surfing in the next alternative. Having seen the chaos and sardine can packed action, I opted to hang out towards the entrance of the ship (near the burger station) to avoid the mayhem of the seating area. Service:  Surprisingly efficient.  A waitress came up to me and asked for my beverage preference.  Three minutes later, I was presented with a Bud Light. Food:  Cheeseburger & Fries.  Not bad by any means, given the setting for which these edibles are produced.  The burgers contained the proper charred exterior while holding its juicy interior.  The nice texture contrast combined with the mild bitterness of the American cheese was a welcoming edible.  The serving of French Fries was cooked remarkably well.  Each single fried was perfectly charred and crunchy to the point where the contrast between the crunchy exterior and flaky interiors were welcoming with each additional fry.  Not to mention proper seasoning application to the fries.  Overall, great bar food given the scene. Upon completion of my burger, the same waitress asked if I wanted another Bud Light.  2 minutes after that, a nice cold activated blue bottle was presented. Granted, the scene is too "be scene" for my taste.  Of course, on any given day, I'd take the cocktail lounge / wine bar over this pick up scene.  Nevertheless, a friend suggested the locale, it'd be impolite to decline.  Overall, the burgers & fries were delicious, and the service was attentive.

I went to Vegan Village with low expectations, I'm usually strictly carnivorous by nature. A friend of mine said that I should try to eat healthier if I wanted to be successful in achieving a better workout regiment. I haven't ate "vegan" before and i was a little hesitant on trying this establishment. The joint is located near Pico and Norton, and it is actually a mini-labyrinth. It is three stories high, with approximately 6 rooms, 2 dance floors, offices, etc. The restaurant part was nicely furnished, the usual hardwood floors, etc. The staff was very attentive, and i asked them what a first timer should get. They suggested the Wet Burrito. That was a great selection, it was spicy, was very similar to a regular burrito, however the freshness of the vegetables was evident. It was feeling. My friend then suggested I try the dessert, that';s one of their specialties. This is where they earned their stars! I tried a caramel cake, freshly made by the chef. He had just finalized the frosting application, and brought out the creamy concotion. I bought two slices, and it was well worth it. It was like caramel met a butter texture, and the cake itself was amazing. It was actually better than any other bakery made cake that I have tasted. I understand about the pricing, however, the owner stresses how she utilizes only the best ingredients for her food selections. Thus, the prices reflect that. However, she has stated that she is working on compromising and possibly lowering some of the prices possibly. Overall, this place is great  for Desserts and Dinner
