by Perry Klussmann on There's a lot of ratecluber/hipster fuss over Ruby Skye, but honestly I really liked this place. Sure, the crowd is pretty much a sausagefest and yes, it can be meatmarkety at times, but the sound system is awesome and the bartenders / security seem fairly friendly. The acts are always top-notch as well. I'm not sure what people are expecting out of what is effectively a superclub, but Ruby Skye was absolutely awesome and I'd go back there again. Just don't expect to meet people there: you can't hear them anyway (if you don't bring earplugs, you can get them from the bartenders upon request.)
