I went on NYE. My friends were always talking about going there alot so I figured I check out what the fuss was all about. There was a pretty long wait time in line, and was raining and freezing that night. So I guess I would recommend going in the summer when you won't get frostbite from skimpy clothes and bad weather. Anyway, the inside was pretty nice, they didn't have the dancers that night, but it was obviously a big enough crowd to feel cramped in the wide expanse of the dance floor. High ceilings and colorful decor. They have a bar on one side of the room by the entrance, and another smaller one by the other end, next to a lounging area. The crowd is predominantly Asian, but not as overwhelming as Circle might be. I got a ton of drinks that night so I don't remember too much about details. I do remember the bartender was kind of rude and didn't do a very good job at making simple drinks. It was like 70% ice, 20% soda for a rum and coke that was overpriced. The bar top was filthy and flooded. The floor also felt like the inside of a frat house. This was the guy from the smaller bar in the back, who should certainly have enough time to clean up his bar every few minutes than just lean back and pout. My guy friends always talk about how they hook up with a few girls at Hiro every other week. But from what I remember, the music was so loud, and the crowd was so heavy it would seem impossible to hook up with anyone. I was just having trouble trying to get some personal space and yelling over the music to my bf.

I'm just writing about the dining experience here, not the clubbing experience. I came here when I last visited New York and thought it was great. There were people scurrying around everywhere and I figured we wouldn't be able to get a table. After talking to the hostess about our table preferences and making it clear that we didn't really have any, she took us to a nice little table right away.  I really enjoyed myself here. I had an interesting and delightful cocktail made with my favorite Gin (Hendricks) called 'Love You Long Time.' $12 for a cocktail is about what I expect to pay in New York. The mushroom fries were among the main reasons we went there and they are definitely my favorite thing about this place.  The pizza and burger were both top notch as well, but there isn't much to describe. Next time I hope to get something more exciting.

This place is absolute HEAVEN if you're into the whole DJ-centric scene.  I, am not, so therefore my review is severely skewed. The setup and whatnot of this place is great.  I like the little loungy area, the outside patio and big, main party room.  No complaints about the setup.  Just cant get into the scene here. I'm not a dj guy, never got the appeal.  Especially these days when anyone with itunes can be a "dj."  Regardless, if you like the dj stuff then definitely put this place on your checklist.  If not, then feel free to pass up, BUT if you ever know of anything going on here via a friend or something and you get invited, even if you aren't into the dj thing you'll more than likely be able to have a good time here.
