by Kristina K. on Alright - If I did not have to work on Fridays I would be here every Thursday night for 1984. Sadly, my job takes precedence over my love of 80s jams. The front room is usually brighter and more mainstream poppy songs. Usually people are doing a bit more bumping and grinding in the front. The back room is usually playing some of the darker 80s new wave synthy jams which I am a huge fan of. You will also notice that mostly black is being worn in this room. People are mostly doing their own thing. Don't be afraid to get up and dance on the platforms next to the mirrors, folks! That's part of the fun of this room! Drinks are kindy pricey, and there is a cover - so either pre-game it, or prepare to drop $20-$50 bucks easily depending on how many drinks you are buying, and what kind, of course. I am kinda cheap so I will roll in pretty alright to avoid paying a lot for drinks. I think I am going to just have to tell work that I need to come in later on Fridays - I need to get my 80s fix.

Eleven is a virtual Twinkie of a bar with the most delicious of cream filling made up of incredible looking men of all types. Too bad that for this little straight gal, they were all incredibly disinterested in MOI. lol I went here with a girly friend of mine this past Friday to meet up with a mixed hetero-homosexual group of peeps and we just...juuuuust...slid in to the valet. As in, we were the last accepted car into the lot which in WeHo can be a blessing seeing as everything is permit parking. We also beat the line which I believe began around 10:15-30 or so...I'd suggest getting your cute little asses there bright and early so as to gain entrance past the hotties at the door. Seeing as the interior of the trez chic bar (akin to a giant loft) was rather stuffed full of sweaty men...we made our way out to the patio to grab some air and mingle with our friends in an area in which we could actually HEAR what the other was saying. The thump thump thump thump of the inside was enough to rattle my brain into creating unintelligible speech. Outside wasn't too much better other than the fact that we had a long bench to sit down upon...but every young gent on the patio seemed to be toting a ciggy in hand. And let me tell you...man...those boys wave those suckers around like they're an extension of their hands! I was seeing trailers of red pass by my face in droves. I swear, I missed out on third degree burns at LEAST three or four times...so beware of the hot-tipped cigs! As we were sitting there, two lovely ladies happened by outside the bar and began to hit on us...nothing like being mistaken as a lesbian! Actually, it was kind of flattering. lol And I was told that my friend and I made the cutest of couples. Teehee. Maybe I should switch teams...(don't worry honey...I won't leave ya!!). All in all...I'd say it's a great place for men to pick up on men (not as many chicas) or a good spot to go to EARLY so as not to be crowded out into the corners!!
