by Jonathan F. on Coda is a very cool, hip, energetic and seriously live place to hear great music, I love the place! We saw Broun Fellinis, bay area local group that has been around for centuries play a red hot smokin edition of Led Zepellin inspired music. Standing room only at the time because if you get there early, order dinner which is really great, you can get seats, otherwise get lucky for seats that are hard to come by if the show is really "hot" that night! Overall, great spot for a date; great night out hearing some great music, better yet, just checkout the extensive groups that are local that play weekly. Tuesday night, checkout Jazz Mafia, a 12 plus member group that can play just about any style incredibly well. If you are looking for new exploration,, I recomend this place! If possibly, catch a cab, parking is interesting, however a lot of cheap paid lots nearby to keep the car safe, no worries!
by Camellia Billen on Models and bottles, baby. Joanna Krupa and Co. were flaunting their fine Eastern European cheekbones the night we partied here. I don't think I've ever seen so many models under one roof in my life outside of Soho! The scene is dark yet many of the glamazons leave their sunglasses on (naturally). Overcrowding makes for uncomfortable quarters (have you ever had a supermodel poke you with a sharp elbow? OUCH!) unless you drop a couple of paychecks on bottle service. Definitely THE place to be seen in South Beach. I was ready for something much more low-key after a couple of hours here, but it's a cross-it-off-your-list for sure.
