I'm surprised this place doesn't have a higher rating.  The food here is wonderful. I have to admit, there's one section of the stairs that is a little too dark, especially when just coming in from sunlight.  That could end up being a safety hazard. We chose to sit in the back room.  Apparently at 10pm, they clear out the tables and chairs and the room becomes a dance floor.  But at dinner time, it's filled with tables and chairs for a simple dinner.  You have the option of eating in the lounge on high tables, but the music is louder there, and we wanted quiet. Service was very attentive.  Our water glasses were never less than half full. First things first... I friggin love the menu.  The thing lights up when you open it!  Totally unexpected the first time I opened it, and it still amused after opening and closing it for the 20th time - until I decided I should actually pick something to eat. We started off with the Chicken Red Curry Pizza.  It was SO GOOD!  crispy crust, sweet curry sauce with just enough kick.  One pizza app is good to share for two people. I had the short ribs adobo for my entree.  Hubby had the tea scented coconut ribs.  We also shared the coconut sticky rice. OK, at first glance, the dishes are SMALL.  Not quite elf food, but small.  The adobo was delicious, but the sauce is sooooo rich and flavorful - you have to make sure to order the side rice dish with this, or it becomes inedible.  The ribs were also amazing. With the pizza, our two entrees and the side of coconut rice, we were nicely full at the end of the meal.  I even took one slice of pizza home. With a $9 beer (OK, that was ridiculous) and a $12 cocktail, our meal hit around $78.  Not cheap, but the meal was very good. Definitely not a 'regular' dinner spot for us, but nice for a treat.  I wonder how the dance club is???  That would be nice to eat a late dinner with friends and stay for dancing.

Really neat atmosphere and really great food. Very unique dishes, such as Lobster Mac & Cheese, and Cheesesteak Egg roll (both of which are fantastic) I was also impressed with the Quesadilla's which were not your usual Quesadillas but had a sauce that is very unique and delicious. They have lots of choices for drinks and a friendly staff.  It is a little pricey but it's worth in my opinion as the food is delicious!

"Wanna go to Sugar?" could be considered a staple phrase of Academy students. Whether it's to grab a coffee before class, a bite to eat between classes, or a drink after class- you can usually find us here multiple days of the week. The food is pretty "shi shi"- lots of greens and garnishes, and the decor is super modern and chic, but that's the part I like about Sugar. You've got plenty of places to park your keister, too. There's the long bar, the large couches in the front, tables everywhere (plenty in the back), and even a hidden upstairs area thats super cute to hang out. And speaking of the bar, they definitely make a strong ass drink here. "It's going to be a little heavy on the Jameson. Is that okay?" Fine by me. Fine. by. me. Oh yeah, great place to get drunk before midterms, too. ;)
