by Sunny A. on The lounge itself is very nice. You go downstairs and the first thing you find is a small platform to your left where the dancers hired by the club are performing. In front of you, past the first dance/mingle floor is the bar. The bar is overpriced and the drinks are only moderately strong. I recommend beginning your night somewhere else before coming here. To the right of the bar is an intersection where the bathrooms, the current dance/mingle floor, and another larger dance floor all meet. Let's start with the bathrooms. There is one entrance to the bathroom and it is for both men and women. Inside the bathroom, lines are formed and someone directs the flow of traffic to the appropriate stall. It is a semi-circle of private bathroom stalls. Interesting but unnecessary--getting in and out is much slower. On the other side of the intersection is the large dance floor. The music is excellent if you're into hip-hop and mainstream genres. If you're on the dance floor--you're having a good time. You might even catch a scent of Kush in the air--it all just adds to the experience. Around the dance floor are some tables for those with bottle service. Like I said, the lounge is very nice and the music is good. Why then, did I give it 2 stars? The wait. I came early to this club with a girl and we still had to wait 1 hour to get in. The bouncers definitely enjoy imposing their power and presence on the people waiting. If my friends who came up from LA weren't already inside I wouldn't have stood there for more than 15 minutes. They came about 30 minutes earlier and paid an extra $20 on top of the $20 cover to get in right away. So let me say--if you have a table reserved or you bribe the bouncers, you will get in quick. Otherwise, prepare to wait. At least there were some interesting people to talk to outside while we were waiting.
by Tonda Ottaway on Checked out Manor West for a pre-opening party last night, so new it smelled like Home Depot from all the drying paint! It seems like it will be a really chill club. The music was a mix of electronic and pop stuff currently on the radio. Sitting in the booths was super comfy and gave us room to talk and party as desired. I hope this place does well, I'll definitly be back to shake it some more!
by Raguel Mastriano on They keep the tables rotating fast - great place to hear an eclectic variety of styles and sets in one night (everything from funky disco to local tech house and throwback progressive in the span of two hours). Wouldn't even have noticed the place strolling by - we were drawn in by the sound alone.
