by Brian J. on After leaving a performance at the Rialto Theatre downtown a few weeks ago, my good friend surprised me and treated me to a late dinner at Cafe Circa in downtown Atlanta off of Edgewood, in the the MLK Historic District. It's a quaint, cozy bar, restaurant and lounge with a cool eclectic vibe and feel. The menu was small, but the food was really good. I ordered the Kobe Beef Burger on Pretzel Bun topped with hobbs bacon, tilamook cheddar, chinese mustard, and served with house fries. If you never had Kobe Beef before, you're in for a treat. This was my first experience eating Kobe Beef. It was a thick burger with a wonderful taste. The regular ground beef hamburgers I've eaten over the years at other restaurants definitely don't compare. The Pretzel bun was a good twist from your typical hamburger bun. My friend ordered the Flat Iron Steak with green peppercorn, cognac cream sauce. It was tender, juicy and tasty. He had a side of seasoned potatoes, which were also very good. They do have a full bar, but we didn't drink that evening. We went on a Tuesday evening around 8:00pm, and it wasn't busy. I was told that they are really busy on Friday and Saturday nights when they have live band performances.
by Tanisha Castelluccio on All depends on the night....... I have been here 7 times now and it wasn't until this past weekend that I had a BLAST!!!! 80's night, wwwwoooohooooooo!!! One room with 80's rock the other with 80's pop. I was beside myself and danced for 4 hours straight. One room I danced with dreadlock hippies the other I danced with gay men. The times before that, I had an O.K. time. The lamest was when I was here was for a fashion show, no offense but why would I want to spend my time watching amateur models and designers??? I am here to DANCE!!!!!! So my advice is, check out the event before admission.
