by Scot Dru on I've been trying more and more sushi places in Atlanta, and this place is definitely the best. Worth a drive up 85, but make reservations first. Everything is so fresh. I love the seaweed salad as an appetizer. The red snapper and the salmon roe are must-haves. They also have a lobster box roll that I can't recall the name of, but it's great. The owner is very friendly and the staff is great.
by Richard Ellie on my husband and I went here after hearing rave reviews for our wedding anniversary. my husband said after eating the food, "only death will be the remedy for the disgusting food served at mamajuana." lol. he's a bit dramatic.. my husband ordered the churrasco, i had some and it tasted good a bit dry and verrrry chewy, it was quite a workout eating it. Cafe Cortadito is way better. I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly however I was a little scared when the waiter asked me how I wanted it cooked.. the potatoes or whatever it was served with tasted like nothing- i can't compare it to anything because it didn't taste like anything. I didn't want to give up hope so we tried the tres leche for dessert. boy was that a mistake, it was like sponge cake, it was stale and the ice cream that they topped it with tasted like it had been sitting in the freezer for way too long that it was not creamy no longer rather had the texture of icycles. I told my husband maybe it was because we went on a Monday evening and there wasn't much people there.. regardless.. we will not be going there again, unfortunately, very disappointed. regarding service, our waiter was negligent but kind.
by Carlos Z. on When you drive up to the club you expect to hear the bass of an indoor club, but this club was playing music beautifully that you could hear it outside as well. When you walk in the colors and the exceptional look and feel of a restaurant turned nightclub turned beautifully well. I loved every second of it, from the sounds of the best upcoming DJs I have heard. Talking from a DJs perspective, I loved their beat matching and their pitch-shifting was seamless and sounded as if it was one song. There was a great mix of all types of Latin music and some American dance music as well. The crowd was wonderful, but there was one problem though . . . that most of the girls there were taken, and dancing with their guys. I danced with friends I bring, and it was still insane and fun, but there needs to be more single girls, so come females!
