by Lezlie Galper on This isn't a club, it's a restaurant (well, they say they serve food); it was the worst restaurant I have EVER been to. The food is disgusting (my friend's tortilla actually came out burnt and black- no joke), and the "poached eggs" were rubbery and you could throw it and it would've bounced. The service was worse than the food (however the hell they pulled that off). I am rare to complain, but had to get this out there!
by Cami Musitano on The first time I went here a year or so ago I had a blast. I recently visited here though and it has really gone waayyy down hill. First of all they tried to charge me and my girls a cover. No way. Then they changed their minds and let us in for free. For a Saturday night the place was super empty! And it was just asian central. Drinks are pricey too for what it is. Really the crowd makes such a difference. I feel like the staff and the crowd took a nose dive. We ran out of there ten minutes later.
by Melanie W. on This place has potential... honest. I've been to Columbus 72 three times already - and, each time I go, I kind of hope that it will live up to my expectations - but, sadly, it fails. All-around, it's a pretty cool space for where it's located. I'd never expect a club/lounge/bar like this to exist on the Upper West Side. That being said, I've only visited the bar when it's been "open", so I don't know what prices are like; and I've only been specifically when it has been a friend's birthday, so I don't know what it's like on a random night; I am not crazy about the music - every once in a while they'll throw in a good song, but it's usually a wacky mix of 80s and 90s. Most of my friends hate it here, I say it's tolerable... and maybe, just maybe, it will get better. Next time.
