by Graig Hixenbaugh on Been here several times, usually in the summer to enjoy the "outdoor" feel. But just went back last night and it's equally enjoyable in the cold weather too. Beautiful large space. Suits many needs; happy hour, nice dinner with friends or late night bar cravings. The Hendricks Mash is one of the best cocktails I've ever had...I ended up having 3 and stumbling home.
by Domingo Campora on I came here after Love Parade/Fest/Evolution/etc etc and I definitely enjoyed myself. I like that the sound system has big bass bins aimed right at the dance floor, that's exactly what I want in a venue like this. Putting a little cotton in the ears and letting the sound system vibrate me while I dance is perfect, and they played a great selection. The door people were very nice to us, the bartenders are all friendly, and the place has enough real estate that it can accommodate a decent number of people without feeling packed.
by James K. on Buddha Bar follows the same formula as other popular meatpacking district Asian fusion hot spots like Morimoto, Ono, etc. A large venue, with nice Asian inspired decor, a good looking staff and a menu comprised of sushi and other Asian fusion dishes. It becomes a total scene later in the evening, but it's starting to get quite touristy, with groups of girls visiting NYC playing Sex in the City. The good is still amazing, so it's still worth hitting up even if it's just for some drinks and appetizers.
