by David Manselli on As a food and bar qritic from spark magazine i was extremely dissappointed in the service today.. Mr Bobby Smith can you please contact me at 302 312 4619. I went in today December 12th to grab lunch and do my reviews of the business.. During that time the kitchen was being clean so i had to wait about an hr and a half to order something. In the mean time I had consumed one and a half beers ( in that one and a half hour. When i asked for a menue the bartender with curly hair said she wouldn't serve me lunch or another beer which i had not asked for the beer due to the fact that I am mostley a food and service critic for spark. I asked why and no reasonable explanation. She would not even show me the menue.. Originally I wanted to lable the Hideaway as a diamond in the rough. But after this experience I am confused and disappointed.. Can you please get back to me so we can work this out Mr. Bobby Smith , thank you Daid. In a quick sentence I went for lunch and I was told that she would not serve it to me for no reason but would to everyone else. Is that because im not a regular do you believe? I am just confused and i would hate to give your resturant/bar a bad review.

The Philadelphia and LA burgers are also delicious. Keep your eye out for the monthly burger specials too. I was disappointed with the CRUNCH option on the menu. I expect any Bobby Flay establishment to make potato chips from scratch not just use Lays Potato Chips! The sweet potato fries are delicious and its always a nice touch to get some alcohol in the mix (spiked milkshakes, frozen margaritas, beer). Overall, quite enjoyable experience Overall: 4 stars
by Dee Dilox on i find this to be an interesting name for a bar....i also find the word itself to be a word we hear and use a lot, but the more you say it the stranger it sounds. so i decided to look the word up and these are some of the definitions i found: "Of or pertaining to a particular place, or to a definite region or portion of space; restricted to one place or region; as, a local custom." "A vehicle which receives and deposits passengers..." "anesthetic that numbs a local area of the body." the local is all of these things, especially the last one. it is what a bar on ponce should be; it is unpretentious, smoky, inexpensive, and open late. the crowd is diverse, the wait staff are sufficiently friendly and the drinks are stiff. mos def a good place for a late night drink.
by Kimberly C. on TOO LOUD& OVER THE TOP . I don't know what was worse the nasty mojito or our waiter who had on more makeup than me . The food was nasty and salty and took wayyyyyyyyyyy too long to come out to our table. The management might want to decide if this place is a nightclub or a restaurant .
