After turning 30 last month, I've stopped going to clubs...UNLESS we have a table (I am older and I can't stand for a long period of time.  My back, hips, neck, everything starts to hurt).  Since it's one of our good friend's bday, I figured I'll endure the pain and come check this place out.  We put ourselves on the guest list but still had to wait a while to get in (this isn't vegas where we can just roll in...believe me, we tried and failed...must be of the fact that I am 30.) I guess there are 3 levels...the lower level was closed, the mid level was pretty empty, the upper level was packed.  We liked the music there better (top 40s) so we stayed for a bit.  When we first got there (a little before 11), the place was still ok, you can move and dance.  After 1130, the place started to get busy, people everywhere, sweat everywhere...oh good lord, I couldn't hang (no seating area unless you have a "table") so we left.  I would consider coming back again if we had a table, but after reading some of the rateclub reviews regarding the bottle service...I don't think I will.

I normally have a great time when I visit here. Crowd is always cool, drinks are on point. It can be pretty pack and super hot on that dance floor. But hey, that's from everyone dancing and having a good time. I never pay to get in, never wait in a line. So if you haven't checked it out already, I definitely recommend that you do. If you see your fellow rateclubser (me), say Hi,lol! Oh, the food is really good too!

Buddha Bar follows the same formula as other popular meatpacking district  Asian fusion hot spots like Morimoto, Ono, etc.  A large venue, with nice Asian inspired decor, a good looking staff and a menu comprised of sushi and other Asian fusion dishes.  It becomes a total scene later in the evening, but it's starting to get quite touristy, with groups of girls visiting NYC playing Sex in the City.  The good is still amazing, so it's still worth hitting up even if it's just for some drinks and appetizers.
