by Vonda D. on I really liked Dante's when I was there. The atmosphere is definitely not like your typical restaurant. They have a ship, live alligators and tons of nick nacks on the walls. At first I thought the alligators were put there for show. Well, upon leaving the restaurant they were no longer in site. Yep, they're real! Dante himself even made an appearance the night I was there. The fondue at Dante's is excellent. The only thing I was disappointed in, was that to get a desert fondue, there was a minimum number of guests and you have to reserve the night ahead of time.
by Jude Porrello on Great work/study spot! - Free wireless - Free samples - Open tables, on Sunday in the early afternoon - Comfortable chairs that aren't tooo comfy - Natural light - LOTS of power outlets for those of us with tragically substandard battery lives (yes!) - Did I mention free samples...of baked goods? Mmm... The green tea boba I had was okay. It comes in slushy form, and the boba was a bit hard at the center, but better than most in Atlanta. My only complaint is that the sandwich bar does not open on Sundays (WHY??), sad. So I opted for a curry pastry for lunch instead, which I found a bit greasy and dry, but I suppose that's a question of personal preference. I also bought a bun for Monday morning breakfast to-go (since they come in such convenient little sealable baggies), and well, let's just say it didn't make it to Monday morning. 8)
