Finally went to the new location last night for drinks (which are typically very reasonably priced). We were told there was a half hour wait for the rooftop deck, so we put our name in and sat down at the bar. They called my cell - one thing I love about this place - to get us seated. They did lose a little view moving 2 or 3 doors down. Now the view of the city is covered by the trees, only Grady pokes through the gap. We had a few servers coming to check on us while we were up there. Tables/counter space seemed to be cleared away in good time. My only true faults lie with 1. having to wait forever to be seated is a typical thing - especially to be on the roof. Honestly I think they should have other outdoor seating, besides the roof. And of course, 2. the majority of their food is breaded and fried which automatically makes it a place I cannot eat. There is a grilled shrimp salad that I was interested in trying but the wheat contamination factor has got to be so high that it's probably not even worth it to try. So, in closing, if you like a nice friendly neighborhood bar to grab a decent priced drink - go here. And it doesn't hurt that the bar area inside has some super nice flat screens.

I've been to Goldbar twice on a Tuesday night and the music each time was very very dope, one minute you hear some old school house and the next your hearing Jay Electronica - Exhibit C. Its a small place but the design inside is one of the most creative I've seen so far. For guys it was mad hard to get in to if you don't know anyone. Both times my friend and I had to sweet talk the woman at the door for like 20 minutes so she would let us in, and that definately gets tiring after a while but your rolling up without pretty girls it is what it is. It was worth it thought, dope music, cool downtown vibe, and attractive people
