by Lara B. on I was really looking forward to eating here from all that I've heard about it, but it was such a disappointment and made me realize that this place is very, very overrated. The ambiance and interiors are outstanding, seats are comfortable, nice seating, and gorgeous on the inside but they don't have the flavorful taste to back up this outward appearance. I ordered the sliders and I must say they were the worst sliders that I have ever had. Literally, all that went into it was 2 sides of a toasted bun with a small piece of steak in between. That's it. Nothing on it. There was dipping sauce with it but it didn't do the burgers any justice. They were just plain, plain, plain. I would've like at least some sort of nice sauce, cheese, or grilled onions or just something to make it come alive taste wise. Even TGIF's Jack Daniels sliders are so much more flavorful than this elementary concoction of toasted bread and meat here. The service was far under par and under what I had expected. When I kindly expressed my opinion that the sliders were okay, the server was easily offended and rebutted with a remark about how "Cover 3 is 10 times better than all the other restaurants and that it was "my" fault for ordering sliders in the first place but that everything else was delicious." Really now? Really?! The reason why I came were for the burgers from their reputation and she goes on to say that the burgers are not good here but that the dishes on. You have got to be kidding me. This was truly a disappointment and we're never coming here again. If you're coming here for the burgers, I suggest going to Phil's Ice House for the best burgers in Texas.

Bathroom is a combo of mold, woodrot, eat pu**y graffiti and a lack of toilet paper and working door locks. Might want to take advantage of the band break to find another place to pee. $5 Ginger Jameson drink special served in a pint glass was powerfully delicious. Came to see Lloyd's Rocksteady Revue. Singer Jonathan Lloyd is on a personal mission to stir up the ska scene in the city. http://www.myspace.com... They will be playing for free (before 9) every Weds in March. Very fun show. They don't come on until 10, but you can hang out in the creepy basement playing darts, ogle the Elvis shrine, or catch up with your friends until they go on. Cheers~
