There are barstool seats with high tables, there's an area where you can sit on cushions around a low table, a comfy couch area, and a kiddy area with mini furniture! And near the counter there's even a dining room area where you can find many a student clicking away quietly on their laptops. I've tried a couple of the teas, along with the hazelnut creme brulee and their madeleines and I've liked pretty much everything. I'll probably try more different items the more I go but I have a feeling I won't be disappointed. The service is great and everyone there is relaxed and friendly and will chat you up about anything. I also loved all the party/group games they had hidden under the coffee table in the couch area. I haven't played mancala in years! It was also really sweet of them to bring us samples when we've been sitting around a while. The first time it was pink lemonade with mint which was not bad, if a little sour. The second time we went they offered us a sample of the basil mint lemonade. I had wanted to get it before but had my doubts on how good it could be... it was fantastic! Three of my favorite things, I don't know why I ever thought they could go wrong! I'm really excited about going back there and getting a giant cup of it! I find this to be a somewhat random location (kind of an empty side of Chamblee-Tucker Rd) but I definitely plan to go here more often and just laze around sipping on some drinks and people-watching.
by Nancy Y. on This place is bad. Should have known when the door guy was neither too busy nor too cool to be bothered. Instead he had the time to make attempts to get us to agree with him and posture about that he was it. We got in free though they tried to charge us at first, the crowd is riff raff. Entrance moved from Hollywood Boulevard to the rear alley. After the dramarama, and long wait at the door; we went in, stayed for five minutes and left for Foxtail.
by Barry Mcewan on $5 cover for a non-dress to impress crowd. Rocks has a decently sized dance floor, although I don't really utilize it since I'm not much of a dancer. I usually go on Saturday nights , and it'll be packed by 11ish. Music on Sat will consists of top 40, and that'll get the crowd going. My only major complaint is what appears to be an understaffed or very inattentive bar. Unless you're good at being a jerk and can squeeze between people and reach halfway into the bar to get the bartender's attention, you won't be getting what you want in a timely manner. Beers are average prices, shots seemed like a little higher than average, but then again, I was already a bit tipsy. I've yet to check out Ned Divine's (The bar/club down the other side of Quincy Market), but I've heard good things. They usually have a line whereas Rocks doesn't.
