by Ela Darrisaw on The worst place in the city!!! Don't bother going there, its not like the old Buddha Bar.. The waiters are not nice, we made reservation for a large party, we had to call 8 people to confirm the reservation. Then when we got to the place, nobody was even aware that we made reservation. The optional party dinner was horrible, there was no way there were enough food for all 30 people that where there. My advice avoid this place.
by Mark D. on I was honestly very surprised. I had heard mixed reviews on the place but am happy to report I had a terrific experience. I decided to do the "tasting 14". While not every dish was a hit, many were enjoyable and flavors worked well together. The staff was amazing. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. Chris, the Som talked us into an amazing Riesling that I think may have made me fall in love with this varietal. A fantastic burgundy followed that matched the finishing course well. A definite return trip is in order especially for the friendly warm service that I did not expect from this type of restaurant.
by Pattie Meyerhoefer on OSLO was the most stylish sushi bar I've been to that surprised me greatly when my friend took me here in downtown Detroit. The super stylish-modern decor made me feel like I was in New York, Miami, San Francisco, and the sushi chefs were impeccably polite to me. They had the BEST sushi tempura rolls here. I wish I coulda ate here more often when I was in town. Reading Duke A's review breaks my heart ~ I only hope that they have better staff when they come back because Detroit needs more places like these.
