by tina m. on tres overrated. waited in line for over an hour and some miniature bouncer with a napoleon complex decides to let our guy friends in and not our group of girls. he said that it was because we "threw them under the bus" by telling him that it would be okay for him to let us in without the guys (it was our friends bday and we just wanted her to get in!). he finally let us in and people were packed in like sweaty rats and i was drenched in other people's beer by the time i left.

Delicious chips and salsa. Check. (Better than other places) Velvet Margarita has character, the type of fun place you can drink and have a good time with friends while you lounge in a booth and take in the decor. The food, however, is below standard for Mexican. There's so much better out there. I'd come definitely come here again for drinks. Don't let the food keep you away. Come for the alcohol.
