This review is going to focus on only one thing---the GT May Thai. This cocktail is absurdly awesome. Its not for the weak of heart, which isn't to say its a hard drink to take. Its much much much too easy. The Golden Temple May Thai is delicious, super effective and priced around 7 dollars. You really only need two to have the rest of the evening in light heart spindle-windle. If you haven't had the GT May Thai yet, make time. Promise you will not be disappointed.

I went to meet friends for brunch at Sugar Cafe 3 weeks ago. My first experience was GREAT, other than the mess up with the price on the menu & what rang up. When I pointed this out, they were willing to correct it...so I had no problem & my pancakes were delicious!! Everyone in our party enjoyed their food & the portions were good. On the other hand, my visit today was not as great. We met the same friends there for brunch...I ordered the exact same pancakes on the menu...I was very let down when my order came. 3 "petite pancakes"?? Are you kidding...What happened to the big stack I got last time? I asked about this, as the other people I was with were also disappointed in their portion sizes. The guy who rang us out said "this was the standard portion size". I told him we were there 3 weeks ago & the pancakes were much larger...he said "that's the fat cook who makes fat pancakes"! Well then, what day(s) does he work because that's the only day worth coming... he works Sunday-Friday. I can't believe they just didn't make me another stinkin pancake...why haven't different portion sizes based ont he cook. So much for my new breakfast spot...I wouldn't say our brekfast was worth the price... Look elsewhere.

We've eaten here a number of times over the years since they opened in East Atlanta Village. Their food now I think is much better than it used to be when they first opened. The flavors are richer and more consistent. We ordered their seafood soup and it was delicious, just a bit too salty. I'm hooked on their Thai Basil fried rice. I cover it with some vietnamese hot sauce and I'm in heaven.
