I have no idea what these people above are talking about they must have posted on the wrong place, what idiots. This is a great Biker Bar, it is a beer bar though so no mixed drinks. But everyone there is great most of them are regulars but welcome strangers with friendly smiles and most will buy you a beer. This is one of my favorite places to go and party! The do not serve food and I have never seen an asian in the place so as to those comments above, get your facts straight before you talk shit.

I was invited here for a birthday party. I wouldn't go back. The pictures of the place on the website are accurate. The interior is gorgeous, however it's so stuffed full of rude people taking any opportunity to grope or feel you up that it really doesn't matter. The crowd is a bizarre mixture of bland, young 9-5 guys fresh out of college in their button down work shirts getting sloppy drunk, their bland young female companions, giant meathead guys, unclassy, tarted up girls and large groups of Asians who separate from the rest of the crowd and do their own thing without being obnoxious as everyone else there is. It's the kind of place where I couldn't walk to the bar alone without being hit on by several sleazy men. And the kind of place where security allows two men to carry a woman too drunk to walk or keep her eyes open or hold up her head to their car. It was a really unfun experience. The vibe was unfriendly and made me really uncomfortable. If you like wearing six pounds of make up and a dress that doesn't cover much of anything paired with $300 dollar stripper heels among a crowded building of sleazy men on the prowl, this place is for you. If you'd like to go out and have a decent, fun time somewhere without constant sexual advances and molestation, stay away. Just not my deal I guess.

Well, FLIPpity, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP!! I finally got my newest-burger-in-town on tonight. And it was a hit. Friend and fellow rateclubs-er Emily R. and I took our little selves to Howell Mill's newest spot and dined at the bar. Given all the reviews already submitted about Mr. Blais's new spot, I'll get right to the highlights and key points of our experience . . . I started with an app - the roasted mushrooms. DIVINE. Seriously, if you like mushrooms, get this bowl of mixed fancy 'shrooms, which have been roasted in butter, set aside, then warmed/roasted again with a bit more butter. Ahhhh. Main meal . . . I love burgers. While Emily had been before and went with the highly popular lamb burger (she loved it), since it was my first visit I had to go with the basics and get the Flip burger - lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup and Flip sauce. Quite tasty and, honestly, perfectly sized. I actually ate half there and the rest when I got home. Bun, toasted just right; lettuce, bibb, a very nice treat! Fries, most excellent, and of perfect thickness and seasoning. And, yeah, the smoky mayo that comes with is that good. And I don't even like mayonnaise. I didn't get a shake because I got two cocktails - the Manhattan (good, but strong enough that I had to drink it too slowly for my tastes) and the oh-so-delectable Sweet Tea. If you haven't tried Firefly sweet tea vodka, go buy some, now, and pour it over ice with a little water and some lemon. Or, go to Flip and have them make this mixed drink on the menu. You will be very pleased. Emily got a special version of the listed Hazelnut & Toasted Marshmellow shake (ask and they might make it for you, too!) - a vanilla shake with just Toasted Marshmellow. Kudos, kudos, she said! Bartenders were friendly, gracious and efficient. It wasn't super crowded but everything seemed to hum right along. Chef Mark came out to say hello, which was a nice touch, and I left pleased, satisfied and definitely planning to return. Verdict: FLIP-tastic!!

I went to a birthday party at Antik last night...we arrived at 10:30 and were the only people in the upstairs lounge area. The waitress asked us what we wanted to drink, but said our hosts were going to be getting bottles shortly. We ordered drinks ($12/vodka soda). The room is quite dark, with pretty red wallpaper and very lounge-like. Once the place became extremely packed, they opened up the bar on the left side, which I didn't even know existed and the waitress was no longer serving individual drinks--only bottles. I went into that room with a friend to get a drink, and it had a completely different vibe. Bright lights and completely out of place compared to the rest of the place. Apparently people were having a hard time getting in, standing in line, unless they knew whose birthday party it was. By the end of the night, it was extremely packed, and a big fight broke out. I'm not the biggest fan of this place--I thik it's trying a bit too hard to be scene-y but isn't really working in my opinion.
