I had heard of this spot from a few people and really wanted to go. it is so much fun. There is a second room which is pretty small and gets really crowded BUT that's only because the music is great! One great Cumbia after the other! The first room is not so big either and the music was good too, they play mostly hip hop. I went on a Friday night, so if you're looking for a good spot on Fridays, this is the place. The crowd was ok, I wasn't too fond of the people. A lot of ghetto looking people and older people as well. They have Blue Moon on tap for $7, it's delicious! Finding street parking can suck so get there early to find closer parking.

For a club, it's kind of disappointing. The drinks are waaaay overpriced ($15 for a shot of plain VS cognac). The interior decor is a poor imitation of the club in Miami and there are these tables in the middle of the back room that seem to attract the wrong type of people to dance on top. Music/DJ is okay but there are honestly, better clubs out there than this.

As good a reason as any to venture over to Fishtown. JB's offers the best local beer and fine locally grown and raised fare. The new dining room sets it right up there with the big boys. I find it refreshing as a new Fishtowner who still holds a ton of hope for his neighborhood. It's the only reasonable place round Girard to catch a game of pool too. JB's is also one of the best music venues in the city. Though it's small, the room sounds great and the acts are plentiful and varied. Only World Cafe Live sounds better. But WCL's overpriced and underachieving menu doesn't come close to matching Johnny's. Go on a Sunday for the Bloody Mary and stay for the hand-pumped Hop Wallop.

I was there last weekend and the food was lousy and evrything was way over priced compared to the service that you receive.
I had a steak and it was $20 piece of grisle and tasted like gasoline.

where do i start, if i could give less than 1 star i would. my g/f and i parked out boat about 7:00pm on sunday june10th. not very crowded as i expected, seeing there was a good live music there.took at least 30 min just to get a beer. all we heard was excuses that they were short handed and busy, it was virtually deserted and for a sunday eve, great weather and no one else with in 5-10 miles to go on the river they could be so much more than they are.when the food came it was wrong then after multiple trip to get my own beer at the bar(no bartender) i took the wrong food back. gave back the wrong food and then preceeded to watch them take the wrong food after we had our hands on it to another customer.., they ended up comping the food, since it was cold(fried seafood platter) the quality is less than a captain d's, i would not even compare them with long john silvers, they have great food. anyway, maybe this ws just a bad dayfor them, as we have been there and had the same platter and it was excellent. but everything went wrong, after about almost an hour and 45 min, we left shaking our heads.. again its ashame as that place has so much potential, just need someone to run it and market it..
