by squishy v. on I was invited here for a birthday party. I wouldn't go back. The pictures of the place on the website are accurate. The interior is gorgeous, however it's so stuffed full of rude people taking any opportunity to grope or feel you up that it really doesn't matter. The crowd is a bizarre mixture of bland, young 9-5 guys fresh out of college in their button down work shirts getting sloppy drunk, their bland young female companions, giant meathead guys, unclassy, tarted up girls and large groups of Asians who separate from the rest of the crowd and do their own thing without being obnoxious as everyone else there is. It's the kind of place where I couldn't walk to the bar alone without being hit on by several sleazy men. And the kind of place where security allows two men to carry a woman too drunk to walk or keep her eyes open or hold up her head to their car. It was a really unfun experience. The vibe was unfriendly and made me really uncomfortable. If you like wearing six pounds of make up and a dress that doesn't cover much of anything paired with $300 dollar stripper heels among a crowded building of sleazy men on the prowl, this place is for you. If you'd like to go out and have a decent, fun time somewhere without constant sexual advances and molestation, stay away. Just not my deal I guess.
by Leslie Winders on **Note: This is a vague review because I came here a few months ago.** Came here because I NEEDED to dance salsa on a Tuesday. $8 or 10 for a lesson at 9:30. I think the teacher I saw wasn't the regular, but he was pretty good (apologies, I forgot his name). Taught shines and a partner bit. Excellent live Cuban band when I went. A lot of people stood to watch/listen to the band. Some danced. Super slow floor that is not dancer friendly. I'd come again if I get that Tuesday night itch again, or for a live band.
by Stuart Kimbril on Interesting experience! The live band was entertaining for sure. Then there were moments of pure ecstasy upstairs with the top floor DJ, Beastie Boys vs. Gnarls Barkely and Missy Elliot vs. Blondie.The mood upstairs was quite, um, intoxicating. After the live band played though, downstairs on the main floor got a little less fun. Stuff like Livin' On a Prayer vs. Stand By Me just wasn't danceable to me. But overall I liked it - don't get me wrong!
