by Gabrielle B. on When I heard that Sir Bobby Flay was opening up a burger joint in my town, I freaked out! Me & my friend wandered down to University City the day after the grand opening to get a taste of BBP. When we arrived the line was long, as we had expected but surprisingly moved pretty quick (almost half the time the staff had anticipated). The menu features many unique burgers including the LA (avocado, watercrest), the Napa Valley (goat cheese, lemon honey mustard), & of course... the Philadelphia (cheese whiz, onions, hot peppers). I ordered the Classic but forgot to get it crunchified! But the un-crunchified burger did not disappoint, along with the fries and onion rings that were equally delicious. They offer an array of sauce options as well: the standard ketchup & mustard, plus chipotle ketchup, jalapeno relish, & burger sauce. You're also suppose to get a side of "fry sauce" but for some reason they forgot to give us some. Service was pretty quick & the staff was consistently friendly (sometimes too friendly). The decor of this place is awesome. It's not trying to hard to be fancy nor is it overly cheesy. Although it is a bit overwhelming with it's tall ceilings and excessive floor space. It almost looks more like a cool bar rather then a restaurant. All in all I highly recommend BBP. Bring a friend & an appetite and you're good to go.
by Margie Forsmann on Soulwax, Timo Mars, Carl Cox, Vitalic, Dj Medhi... Each of the shows I have been was awesome. Definitively a place to enjoy a nice DJ set. In addition the bar ANU just next door provides very good and cheap drinks (to warm up....)
