by Victoria G. on Ahhhh! I've been wanting to go here forever. Always meant to come out with my friends from college but never made it out. Finally my coworker had her bday here so perfect opportunity for me to go. Okay, so I'm pretty upset that I paid a $5 cover. It's not the money issue- I was on the effin' guest list, and the 5th person in line. REALLY? Drinks were a shitload expensive and the music was only okay upstairs and downstairs. However, bathrooms were clean, crowd was great and there was room to dance.
by Shannon Lavallee on The bouncer here is really cool - the people he has to deal with on a nightly basis, aren't. I've been here twice so far; the first time, the bar was populated with the strangest people i've ever gotten drunk around(foreign exchange students). The second time, there must've been a group from the Marina in the middle of a pub crawl in Nob Hill. Either way, the staff at the bar showed a lot of patience with the rowdy frat crowd, and kept their cool as sloppy-drunk girls fell over, vomited in the bathroom and behaved obnoxiously. These are all symptoms of "rookie drinker" syndrome, and fortunately the bartender, bar-back and the bouncer handled the crowds with utmost professionalism. If anything, come just to see the tight shirt-wearing, 280lbs Persian dude awkwardly dance to Lady GaGa as he sings along to her hits. I wish they took cash.
