by Luân N. on It was definitely quite the experience. Went last night with a bunch of friends for my buddy's birthday. We got their a bit early, so we hung out in the bar, sipping on some of the drink specials. The one that we tried was a bit too lemony for any of our tastes. We were then invited to be seated within an hour, and boy did we get great seats. It was in the corner on the right side on the top level. Food service started on that side, and you had the best angle on the festivities in the staging area. The food: 3 course meal Course 1: Sashimi Tuna on greens. Good. Course 2: Beef with potato chips, mashed potatoes. Good. Course 3: Apple/cranberry tart? with dollop of ice cream. Too sour. Anyway, the food isn't anything to cry home about. For $35, it's definitely not worth it on taste alone. We all tried the ginger beer drink (forgot the name), but it was $11, and was pretty good. The events that night were pretty cool. First, they made a bachelorette and a few birthday people (including my buddy) take shots. All girls except my buddy, and the host(ess) made him take off his shirt because he was wearing an undershirt. The second event was some woman getting her hair and makeup done in the middle of the stage. Then parading around the building to model/take pictures. The third event was Madonna's vogue rendition with the host(ess) and two dudes. That was pretty lively. The fourth event? Some bat-ass crazy chick (that I think is a man, but I was told otherwise) doing some crazy expressive animalistic dancing. Finally, to top it off, there was a fashion show at the end. I enjoyed this place. It was a 3 hour dining experience, which is a bit too expensive, but I would definitely take my fiancee here once (and never come back again). Recommended for people to try!
by Yoshie Janvier on I was in the neighborhood and passed by, immediately when I seen VERTIGO I told my friend, we gooootttttaaaa check it out!! I've been hearing so much about Vertigo it was about time I got to check it out. It was pretty chill considering I just wanted to have a quick beer and chat a little, I went last night Wednesday and there was a few people in there, mostly a few "regulars" lol as I overheard. The music was somewhat Rock-ish, but I'm sure it changes on busy nights like Fri/Sat. Got a Stella for $4 and a Jello Shot for $3, I was satisfied. First place I've been to that has Jello Shots so I was juiced! I also seen that they had different types of Irish Coffee's, so overall this is a pretty cool place. Will definitely be back to check this place out on a Fri or Sat night.
