We made reservations and were seated promptly. The dining room is very large and has a nice ambiance. Our waitress was friendly and assisted with our menu selection. Although, she didn't mention that side items are separate. The spicy tuna rolls were yummy. The rib eye steak was good but a little salty. I would recommend this restaurant. My friend brings his clients here, whenever they are in town. The meat packing district is a nice and trendy area.

I stumbled upon this place one Friday night, after the Marina district had sufficiently made me feel inadequate and under-dressed. Talk about going from one extreme to another. One thought came to mind when I stepped into Vertigo: people who frequent this place either rarely take a shower or they undergo a full body scrub after a night here. The room was humid & musty (crack a window open please?); it smelled like puke; the men's bathroom was reportedly filthy; I couldn't bring myself to touch anything. The main plus is: if you want to grab a drink, but don't want to change out of your faded t-shirt, ripped jeans, and beach sandals, Vertigo won't judge you! There are two other ways of looking at it though: 1) people were having too much fun to care, 2) I needed a couple more drinks to take that stick out of my ass. Also, I should seriously consider stop trying to force myself to like dive bars.
