by Brian S. on Trudy's was a let down for me. The service here was painfully slow, though it was really just our lousy server. Luckily, the manager was extremely nice, noticed how slow our server was without us having to say something, and made up for it by taking over and getting the job done (she's the third star on this review). We sat inside and enjoyed the atmosphere, even though it was a busy night. The margaritas were a little on the weak side for the price, but oh well. I ordered somebody's "special" off the regular menu, sounded OK. The chicken was supposed to be marinated to perfection or something. Instead, it was rubbery and cubed, reminding me of Lunchables quality meat, only warm and thicker. That alone made the dish gross--stirring it up with avocados and not-cooked-enough onions, and serving alongside some wet tortillas, didn't help it. The price was way too high for food of that quality. I don't intend on going back by choice.
