DEE-BOTCH-O-REE.  Hee, hee.  This is my second time to a Hollywood Men show, each time it was for a bachelorette party.  The Highlands is a better venue than the Arena. The show starts promptly at 8P on a Sat. and even though my sister and I left around 6P from the OC, we got there a quarter before 8P.  I hate the fricken 5 fwy.  We didn't have anything to eat, so we ordered some appetizers, 6 sliders with some sweet fries.  The sliders were tiny...about the size of dollar coin.  Thank goodness for the fries.  The waiter was nice, but it took forever to get our drinks and appetizers.  Not cool.  They updated the show since the last time I had been and they have more cute guys who are friggin cut.  Aw yeah!  Nikko, Dante, and Gustavo were hot! But, after awhile, the guys started to do the same moves and it was getting a little old.  And come on, compared to some of the girl strip clubs, this is G rated.  You really don't see anything, so what's the fun in that? :)  After the show, the ladies who attended the show can stay for clubbing at the Highlands.  So, I guess it's like a twofer deal.  I am not really a fan of clubbing at the Highlands, but at least I had fun dancing with the ladies in our group.

Definitely perfect for a weekend night out!  Fun dancing and drinks and has so many rooms with different atmospheres and music!  the crowd is good and diverse and everyone seems to have a great time. I lived in mid-town this past year and it's so nice not to have to make the commute out to Buckhead.  It's super close and less than a $10 cab ride, compared to Buckhead where it's over $20.

It's open!  And it's different.  This was my second visit, and this time, we actually sat at the bar, had a few cocktails, decided to order burgers.  Guess what?  We had an excellent time.  Thanks to Scott, the bar manager, we had friendly and engaging conversation about everything from Ann Margret to motorcycles to cacacha to Brazilians to the SF club scene and so on.  So, here's the skinny...  excellent cocktails for great prices, super-friendly service, and a design that creates a warm, welcoming, social vibe.  A menu that is basically bar food, but you know what?  That was a delicious burgers, and the fries were crisp, hot, and perfectly seasoned.  Also, the fried calamari, while not the most tender you'll ever have, comes with a very spicy aioli that we were practically licking off the plate. So, despite the fact that the vinyl seats and the aquarium are gone, I can safely say that I will return.
