by Michelina Sorbera on There are awards on the walls for the wallpaper, which is red and velvet and the same stuff that Dizzie Gilespie or someone just as cool and famous actually touched. It is also true that the veggie combo is all-you-can-eat for nine bucks, and the shared veggie platter is seven bucks a person (the mushrooms and collard greens are the highlights). And that the woman behind the bar is super friendly. And they serve beer in pitchers. These things all make Waziema awesome. But for some reason I always wind up here for breakup talks, which really detracts from my appreciation of the whole place. Perhaps if my relationships could emerge intact I'd be a more frequent patron.
