by John E. on No one visiting Atlanta should pass up an opportunity to experience this one-of-a-kind establishment. I won't go into any details, as the previous reviews pretty much cover it all. If you haven't had the very enjoyable experience of meeting Blondie and viewing her incredible talent regarding an empty beer can, then you haven't lived. I used to love seeing live acts there.
by Conrad Kannady on My friend's sister and fiancee rented out the "upstairs" for his birthday, and I tagged along for the party. You'd think that a group of 50 renting out six tables for four hours (what's that cost? $10,000) would get good treatment at the door. But the bouncers weren't any nicer to us than they were to the homeless people, and the hostess inside the door didn't exactly help us out once we were let in. If they don't want to take reservations for private parties, then don't do it! But don't take someone's money and pretend they don't exist. Oh, and the "upstairs"? It's not exactly the VIP room. You walk up two steps and you're in. So if you think you're getting a private spot in this bar, no way, because the bar staff doesn't exactly keep people from walking right through there. Theoretically, nothing stops them from drinking your alcohol either. And the funny thing, after all that work by the bouncers to keep people out, the place was full of the biggest douchebags anyways. Too many guys on steroids, too many hoochie girls doing faux lesbianism on the dance floor (so 2003, don't they know?), too many guys from sales conventions, and way too much B&T.
