The french toast was overly sweet... Like mouth full of sugar. I was unable to make it even halfway through. My friend had the turkey dinner omlette. It was watery and definitely lacked a lot. On top of that, almost choked on a turkey bone in an omlette! Not really worth the $12... The only thing that I would rate with 4 stars is the service. Dissapointed....

I recently went to see Ferry Corsten at Opera. I have been to the venue before and like the decor there. It was undoubtedly an enjoyable performance and atmosphere. However, beware of the cost--the management knows times are tough and it appears they are looking to gain a buck anyway they can. The ticket was about $28 pre-sale on http://wantickets.com. When we got there, the lady at the VIP entrance inside seemed open to "bargain" with us to gain access to the VIP area above. Intrigued with the idea, we paid an extra $10 to go upstairs. Apparently there are 2 levels of VIP which we didn't know. Overall, I don't believe it was worth it to be in VIP--the action is on the dance floor and most socializing among the younger crowd occurred downstairs. I used a bartender upstairs and opened a tab (MY MISTAKE--do NOT do this!!). The bartender attempted to close my tab and couldn't remember what I ordered. I reminded her that I had two vodka drinks and a beer. She immediately disagreed and proceeded to charge me 6 vodka drinks and 2 jager bombs totalling $56! I couldn't drink that even if I tried! It was 3:30 a.m. on a weeknight, and I really couldn't stay much longer to argue with her. As I was in the line to leave, two girls behind me were quite distraught as apparently the same exact thing happened to them with a male bartender downstairs. I wouldn't say the bar staff is unfriendly per se, but it would be highly prudent of you to NOT open a tab if you decide to buy beverages there. I believe the beer was $6 and vodka drink was $9--the glasses are also noticeably smaller than those of other bars. It's unfortunate that a great venue like this is so shrewdly run. Understanding that the economy has probably hit them hard, I can understand the need to have such a high cover charge, but with the drink prices the way they are, I would be very careful to only use cash or close your card out immediately ($20 minimum).

This place is alot of fun. They need to take credit though. But you have to love the crowd. Its a good low maintenece indie rock dance club.
