I'd never heard of this place until my co-worker suggested we go here to meet up with a friend so we went. I wasn't sure I'd like it because I am not a fan of outdoor places, especially in the summer time (I know, people think I'm weird for this but whatever!). Fortunately the weather was pretty nice and of course being by the water meant there was a nice breeze. We sat on the top level and I ordered the steak skewers (see pic) and a glass of sangria. My friends ordered burgers and split the pricey bucket of Coronas. I didn't think the sangria would be that good but it actually was really good. It was white sangria which I generally prefer and this one was sweet and refreshing with plenty of fruit to enjoy at the bottom of the glass. My steak skewers were equally if not tastier than the sangria. My only wish was that they'd serve more than 3 per serving but I love steak so I'm biased. They were served on a salad with dressing and chimichurri which was excellent! I could've eaten another order. Overall I like this place. I would go later in the day like we did and watch the sunset. I am deducting a star because I think the drinks are a little on the pricey side but either way, I'd revisit.

This spot truly is the best night club in the city. The sound is amazing, the acts are . . . there's something for EVERYONE on their calendar, the staff are chill, the drinks are just the right amount of stiff (and for not too bad a price!) . . . and they just plain know how to run a tight ship here. I've spent weekend after weekend coming out to shows at this spot, and I always go home happy. And I'm definitely one very picky customer. But the most gold star winning moment? Well . . . My boy and I came to see Cut Copy, and we danced our asses off, but when we turned around to go home, his house keys were nowhere in sight! And so began the search . . . we asked at the bars - upstairs and down, we asked at the coat check (twice!) . . . all to no avail. But they were all terribly polite about it . . . which is cool when you're having a super bonehead moment like this one. We'd just about resolved ourselves to the late night locksmith experience when we saw her. She was pushing a broom and making short work of the remainder of the evening's mess, and we knew she had to have the final answer. "Did you find a pair of keys?" "Actually, yes." I could have _kissed_ her. And she was SO nice about it. So, yeah. The Mezz is a class act from bottom to top and all the way back down again.
