by Vivek N. on As mission dweller, I feel entitled and expect that one would listen, when I talk burritos ;) A good burrito is never more than a stones throw away from my coordinates, and I wasn't expecting to get blown away on Polk St. by Mexican fare. After sampling a couple of fish and shrimp tacos, some beef nachos, and a fish burrito, I had to step out and make sure that I was actually not in my part of the city. Nicks has a ton of seating, but they get busy enough where you may find yourself searching for a spot to occupy while you chow down; oblivious to any and everything that's happening around you. The lines get pretty long, and I can only imagine what its like on Tuesday's when they offer their specials. Good stuff!
by Linda Mckinney on This is not the bowling alley where I went for a elementary school birthday party way back when.... 300 NY is an interesting mesh of a lounge and bowling alley. Dark and flashy, but with bowling shoes. We went as a group, and the alloted hour of bowl-time was hardly enough time to be worth the amount we paid. The game hasn't changed, except now the lanes have black-lights and large screens playing music videos. You can get yourself some drinks and some food, they're a bit pricey and not that great. I guess that's how i'd describe 300 if it came down to one sentence. Fun, but pricey and not that great. It's also a pain in the ass to find/get to.
