I had heard about this place through the Thrill List and finally got to check it out on Sunday. They have Happy Hour pricing all day on Sundays! I had seen the menu before and wasn't expecting too much since the HH menu was pretty cheap. The inside is really nice. Kind of a San Francisco upscale lounge atmosphere. The bar is in the front, tables in the middle and the sushi bar in the back. They only have one bathroom for each sex but they have stone shelves just outside to set your drink while you wait. I ordered the Conroe Roll (tuna, salmon, hamachi, tobiko & their special spicy mayo) HH $4.50, the Shrimp & Avocado Roll (rice oustide) HH $4.50, and the Tempura Vegetable HH $4. The Shrimp & Avocado roll was simple yet amazing. I saved the sauce from the tempura to dip in. It had 8 pieces. So yuuummmmy! The Conroe Roll was a really good for what you got. It had 5 pieces. I didn't really like their version of spicy mayo and would probably ask for it without it next time. It tasted like it had cajun spices in it. The vegetable tempura was really, really good! It had green beans, a mushroom, squash, carrots & an onion. The service was really good. The manager was super friendly. I will definitely be going back soon!

Reasonably priced drinks. Maybe TOO reasonably priced, as I threw back three gin and tonics during happy hour and later threw them UP on Market Street. Martuni's needs to offer some bar food! Beyond this bad experience, I enjoyed my time here. Great spot for a happy hour gathering.

My first thoughts upon arrival to One Midtown Kitchen what that I felt like I had left Atlanta and was back in Los Angeles. We pulled up to the valet and was struck with One's illuminating purple entrance. The atmosphere inside is just a glamorous and intimate as I had imagined. The host Bob was uber friendly and made me feel very welcomed to the establishment. He even came back during the course of our meal to make sure we were having a spectacular time! Now it did take about 2 hours to dine at One, so I had to take away 1 star for that. But the food was delicious and so was the wine! You can even order half glasses of wine for little money ($3-5 bucks). I would not recommend the patio area for 1 reason; mosquitos! It was a great intimate atmosphere but you can get that inside without the pests. The restaurant offers traditional main dishes as well as small plates so you can pretty much eat as much or as little as you want. I would def recommend the One Soup with local corn, crabmeat, tomatos, and curry!
