Okay, Let me start off by saying that I am least happy that there is a venue in Boston that can book Benassi, Corsten, Oakenfold... b it has been 2 years since the closing of Avalon and two years for NO venue for good DJs to play. After that being said. This place is just awkardly designed. There is a stage where the DJ is in the front, so I poor losers on the bottom can look up at teh VIP people, and the VIP can dance and parade around thinking they are better then you. Then there are these damn couches everywhere! How are you promoting yourself as a dance club - when I'm always hitting some damn couch in the middle of the floor. Oh - and they really push the whole make people stand outside is a huge line when there is no one inside. So the pros. The location is great! They have beautiful dancers, dressed in crazy costumes.. great eye candy. Drinks princes are normal and the venue is huge! I go for the music, not the venue - but as Boston goes, this is all we have. So deal with it.

This place can get PACKED and the dance floor is on the 3rd level, which gets INSANELY hot and gross. I mean, they should open some windows or something b/c seriously, it's impossible to breath up there when it gets really full. I like a full dance floor (mostly so I can hide my hideous moves from the public eye) but when it's so packed that all you can do is rock back and forth while trying to find air for your suffocating lungs, dancing just loses it's fun. It's also kind of pretentious. They're a "black belt with brown shoes? you can't come in" or "the soles on those shoes will mark our floors, you can't come in" or "you only have 2 girls, not 8 so you can't come in" type of place. You can find better dance places around there with better drink deals too. Pass.

I don't like clubs that you read about in Star or US Weekly. They always sound cool, but when you get inside you realize that it's just not worth the $16 cocktails or the pain me arse at the door. There is something about a place like this that is just souless. I mean think about the Olesen twins....do you want to hang out with them? Why do they always have that mean look on their faces? I think it's because they're hanging out in the wrong places. I'm happier and I'm sure they would be too....if they hung out in smaller, cozier clubs and bars. A place like this is way too dark (I had no beer googles, but night goggles required!!), too crowded and the music sucks.
