by Jan Bayardo on Definitely a very see and be seen type of place. I went on a Tuesday night and it was packed. Lots of money, fur coats, ladies who hadp lastic surgery, and the men who paid for them, as well as a place where it seems men take their mistresses. All of this aside, the food was icnredible. The kobe meatballs came very close to tasting as delicious as my mom's homemade ones. THe tuna tartare was INCREDIBLE. The brancini was also delicious, a bit salty, but good. I definitely would go back and would want to check out the weekend scene, especially with the lounge downstairs.
by Bill Upadhyaya on I haven't read all the reviews on Middlesex, but I'm guessing most of them are nightlife related...but i LOVE going there for lunch! It's a perfect spot for a yummy bite in the Central/MIT area. The menu is small but everything on it is awesome...the pressed sandwiches are great (love the brie and apple), as well as the salads and soups...I think they have a cheeseburger and an over stuffed taco on the menu too... Anyway, it's a nice chill place to get lunch, with friendly service and nicely executed dishes. It's kind of a pain in the ass to eat a huge bowl of soup from a knee-height table, but you can always sit at the bar!
by Brian P. on The distant $15 parking was a big turnoff, however coming here two weekends ago for a buddy's birthday event made it worthwhile to attend. We managed to have a friend help us with the entrance (and it was a BIG help, thank you- you know who you are), even after we were an hour late. The outdoor patio had a very good atmosphere and it was a pretty kick-back crowd that night, fortunately. What people said about the bartenders and their auto-gratuity is spot-on. Screw that-Pay with CASH! We had a pretty fun night hanging out at the patio and talking...we couldn't get much dancing done since our friend nearly got himself kicked out for flashing one of our homegirls on the floor. He was very lucky; that guard was a breath away from throwing him out. Overall, still pretty fun like the good old days when it was run by GLAM. And yes, it is definitely A z N.
