This place I garbage, the food is terrible and the staff look miserible working here. They need to replace the chef or the idiotic management that hired the chef. Not worth the inflated prices they charge. Roscoes taste better than this crap.

I prefer New York and San Francisco nightclubs when the objective of the night is to get laced and dance, dance, dance.  Better music, talented DJs, and some je nais sais quoi that makes me feel more in my grooving element.  Still, I can recognize a good sound system when it's thundering through my body.  Vanguard's speakers pour the bass in and I'm reminded of one of my girlfriend's ex's who had something in the ballpark of $5000 worth of stereo equipment in his car (yah, he was Asian).  Anyhow, whenever he drove, I made a point of bringing along some of my favorite CDs.  Oh man, were those rides fun.  The music seemed to be truly emanating from my pores.  Tremendously flabbergasting (yes, flabbergasting), my heart seemed to adapt to the rhythm as it thumpety-thumped to the melody as bass replaced blood in its travel through my system.  I absolutely loved how U2 in particular sounded in his souped-up ride.  "Mysterious Ways" sounded AMAZING, as did "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "So Cruel," and a personal favorite of mine, "Ultraviolet (Light My Way)"; in the last song, The Edge does some virtuoso guitar strumming and I'm soaring high as I enjoy the ride, literally. Whoa, what a digression.  I just love my Irishmen, probably have loved them the longest as far as bands go.  As I was saying, at Vanguard, a similar bass system revs up the house and it's optimal if, say, someone of the caliber of Paul Van Dyk is spinning like the puppy-eyed talent that he is.  I almost came here when he was playing, but a last minute business trip took me out of town.  I would come back here for him, but Asian nights and all those other "events," I'll pass.
