This review will throw aside the assumption that Atlanta has no good sushi restaurants. I'm not talking about that stuff they serve in buffets like Nori Nori, Rusans, or those sushi/hibachi joints sprinkled all over the A. Hayakawa's serves traditional sushi at it's very best. I am not a snob when it comes to Japanese food or any food for that matter, but Haya-San's is awesome! I won't go anywhere else for sushi, sashimi, etc unless it's his restaurant. What's the point?!? A lot people ask me why his sushi is better than the rest. I can't say for sure. I just sum it up to great techniques and a little bit of magic. I know that he takes great care into the preparation. I've seen him rinse ikura in a fine strainer and wash them gently to remove the cloudy film that's found in the packages. I've tasted his dashi whose recipe is as revered and secretive as a dry rub in Texas. i actually don't know if he gets his fish from the same purveyors as others, but he has some magical powers when it comes to preparing them. I normally never ever order salmon, tuna, and mackerel at sushi places because they've been mediocre. Haya san's on the other hand made me do a double take. I've never had fish melt in my mouth before. His textures were silky and fresh. No overly fishy taste, but it was clean like the ocean. ** My tummy is rumbling just thinking about it** I know some people complain about his high prices, but it is SOOO WORTH IT. I'm usually left in awe at how he takes a simple thing like fish and rice and assemble it into such a delicious morsel. Hayakawa also makes dining at the sushi bar very entertaining. He is boisterous and friendly with diners and also super efficient. You can tell he takes his craft seriously. I implore all Sushi lovers out there to give Haya-San's restaurant support. I make it a personal mission to visit when I can and I've been known to come even after dinner for a quick bite... cuz...there's.....always....room...for....sushi... . 38/365

Very disappointing. We went as a couple on a Friday evening and there were very few patrons. No wonder, MOST of the dancers were not attractive, the stage was empty for many songs - no dancer! One dancer could be heard berating the customers, "What is wrong with these people? This is not a couples retreat!" Other dancers were friendly, many came to our table to offer a dance and weren't pushy about it. 2 Girls were especially pretty and nice ... Alexandria and Mary Jane. I got a very nice lap dance from Mary Jane, sweet, fun, down to earth, but overall the club experience was very poor and I can't suggest you go.

I came here to celebrate my Bday on the 18th. Overall, food was not to great for what you paid. BUT I had a great time, maby since I was that drunk... the "Entertainment" was pretty good, I had a great time dancing bathrooms were DISGUSTING! overall it was a great experience, but I don't think I will be going again....
