by Angella S. on Sloane is the old Duplex but WAAAAYYYYY swankier. The best looking crowd I've ever seen in SF! I felt like I was in a Puff Daddy party in LA or Las Vegas; definitely the place to be seen. We were packed like sardines, I couldn't move, and I felt like a midget... That was their "soft" opening in a nutshell, but no worries whatsoever ;) Grand. Super high ceilings. Hard wood everywhere (not that kind!). Beautiful bar. Lounge tables if you're VIP'in it. Cool people. Sick music! But where was the dance floor? Seriously, I didn't see it and boy was I lookin'. Everyone was standing around, drinking, talking, walking back and fourth like they had somewhere to be. Not a shaking booty to be seen! Couldn't they even rope off an area? Totally feeling this place and I'll be back looking H-O-T. I won't get dolled up for nothing though! I'll be back for one reason only....to DANCE!
by Brinda Cervetti on What can I say, I love Busby's. This place is like a mixture of a Hollywood club and a frat party. There is a huge dance floor and two very big bars, which have anything you want to drink. The cover is 10 bucks, which is fine considering there is never any line. The demographic of people is always varied and the bar tenders are awesome. "Jack Sparrow" is the man. If you go there, you'll know who I'm talking about. Also, your drinks won't cost you $20 and you won't get shafted on the alcohol. If you ask for a stiff drink, trust me, they will hook it up. Overall, Busby's is one of my favorite places to go because it has everything a Hollywood club has minus the arrogant people and hundred dollar drinks. Busby's is always a solid time.
