by Paul D. on This is an okay record store. The girl behind the counter was nice. I got a few dollar records and a Stones record. Classics like Exile or Sticky Fingers were around $20 which is a bit high. Beautiful World will have these for $7 at most. Also the used cd's were way overpriced. This place is wheelchair accessible on the top floor. The entrance is ramped and the floor is one level containing $1 budget LP's, new arrivals and the main stock. I didn't go downstairs but was told its all 50 cent records. It's definitely a place to check out but I doubt I'll go back. Beautiful World is still the best.
by Minh D. on Went here with some friends and always been by it but never in it. So this place is GREAT in my eyes! Bouncers dont have that serious asshole look on their face at all times, the bartenders smile and dressed appropriately to the theme of the club ( just think of the moulin rouge kinda deal with a tackiness taste of safari life ) door guys will talk to u if u joke around with them and not keep asking " WHEN DO I GET TO GO IN! " (if ur a dude) DJ was AMAZING! 80's hits to current hip hop, mash ups, etc.... The crowd is great compared to all the other places I've been to, its a really good mixed of the more mature partiers I would say. U dont see those tacky Ed Hardy folks, or girls with painted on dressed that you would do for a night and leave, and then worry if you got something, or many tourist folks because this place is pretty hidden from the main road. The guys that go seemed pretty chill, laid back, professional men that keep themselves groomed with a genterman quality....while the ladies look sexy and sophisticated, where u can take em home to mother. This is probably one of my fav straight clubs to go to (YUP! I'M GAY! YAY SAN FRAN!) due to the decor, music, atmosphere and crowd. The only downside I would say would be lighting when you walk in. You know when you see someone from a far in the dark and you think they're amazingly hot and you get closer and closer and you go "That was a waste of time" , but other then that, ITS A BLAST! Drinks- Avg price, pretty fast, and accurate with their counts Staff- Professional and friendly ( to me they were but maybe cause I go 2 gay clubs where you always get looked up and down before u walk in and then that eye roll happens) Music- AMAZING! Decor- yeah naked painting of chicks on the wall! Great change from the naked crappy porn that plays in gay clubs Overall- A BLAST!
