Golden Temple is in a class all it's own. How many Chinese places do you know out there that has a Dj and dance floor on Friday and Saturday nights?? *Crickets* That's what I thought. So if nothing else, Golden Temple gets one extra star for that-- mostly because it's so random and hilarious and because they actually play pretty fun music to dance to. I must say it's a bit of a hidden gem if you are looking for a place to party (their deliciously huge scorpion bowls are pretty good with assisting with that as well.) If you are looking to eat on the other hand, which I suppose would be the primary reason one would go to this place, Golden Temple is decent. It's not amazing by my standards (which are incredibly high when it comes to Chinese food.) And to be honest, I probably wouldn't ordinarily choose to go since there are about a million other places in the area (Allston, the land of amazingly authentic Asian cuisine is right around the corner people!) but on this particular evening my dining companion was in charge of the decision making so to Golden Temple we went. Anyway, everything was fresh and pretty tasty but so expensive for what we got (Kung Pao Beef, Spicy Tofu and Shrimp with Asparagus.) Their motto is healthy, fresh Chinese food and I guess it was that-- I mean about as "healthy" as Chinese from a restaurant can be, but overall, I thought it was just good. So if you are in the mood to add a bit of dancing and randomness to your life, go to Golden Temple. If you are in the mood for amazing Chinese, go to Allston.

Great mimosas - $6 for bottomless ones at brunch before 3 pm, uses good, fresh OJ and real prosecco Good food - updated American breakfast classics with a californian twist Fun vibe - a freakin nightclub. I celebrated the number 23 here, and even though we arrived pretty late the hostess and manager were very accommodating, even though the waiter was snooty. Good drinks, good service, a really unique experience. I really like this place for brunch rather than at nights; I feel unwelcome in a crowd of fabulous gay men in Castro who come out to play... Make reservations and don't miss out on the bottomless mimosas. Eat light and go somewhere else if you're still hungry, but it shouldn't be a problem since everytime I go to Brunch at Lime I am wasted before 3 pm.

Great place to see old friends and meet new friends. Old style pool hall. This place has a lot of history and worth stopping in to see.
