by Jane K. on I went on a Saturday night, and two girlfriends and one guy friend got there around 10:30. There was a line (not too long) outside, and didn't seem like it was moving at all, so one of my girlfriends went up to the bouncer to ask if we can get in earlier since our group has 3:1 girl to guy ratio, and he let us right in. The cover was $20, for both guys and girls, which isn't too cheap. Once we got in, I was impressed at the interior design, and the layout of the place, but it was really empty! I guess they like to make the club look more poppin, so they keep the line outside, but the dancefloor was almost completely empty and the lounge areas were pretty much empty too. It didn't matter though, because it was easier for us to get the drinks from the large circular bar in the middle of the club. The bartenders were friendly and quick, and the drinks were ~$15. Around 11:30 or so the place started getting more crowded, and the dance floor was pretty much packed. The DJ was really good that night, and I personally had a great time drinking/dancing. Maybe I didn't go on a more popular nights, but I didn't think that the bouncers were rude as some people reviewed in the previous posts. I think you should just make sure you have the right girl to guy ratio and get there before or around 10:30.
by Noe Sabo on Checked out this place back in January when I was in SF for a wedding. GREAT after party place! Really liked the outdoor patio with the fountain in the corner! Music was good and had a fun time on the dance floor even though it was quite crowded. And for those who don't enjoy boogieing it up, there's the video machine which is like crack to some of my friends! They kept feeding dollar bills into it so they can beat the high score on the trivia game. Wish I could post the picture of their obsession but I can't in order to 'protect the innocent". =P
by Anton Cunanan on I went here for Halloween this year, and had a BLAST! though, I think the staff are biased towards gay people (it IS SF!), I still enjoyed myself. The DJ was great, and the vibe was friendly. I didn't get the feeling that I had to watch my back. I am going again tonight for a show and Burlesque!
